Keynote

Dr. Raquel Martin

Dr. Raquel Martin, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist, professor, scientist, and podcast host that specializes in Black health and wellbeing. Dr. Martin is committed to advancing culturally responsive mental health care, liberation psychology, and systemic change for the Black community. She is the founder of the Burn the Cape movement, which seeks to disrupt the Black Superwoman schema and support Black women in releasing the pressure to overperform, prioritizing their well-being, and living more human, not just more productive, lives. Dr. Martin is also the Founder of The Cape Sanctuary, a mental health and education community created just for Black women, host of the Mind Ya Mental podcast, and a leading voice in anti-racist, community-based wellness, and advocacy.

Meet The Artist

Mia Imani

Mia Imani (Los Angeles, CA) is an artist and researcher whose practice explores sleep, dreaming, neuroscience, ancestral knowledge systems, and emerging technologies as sites of cultural memory, public health, and collective imagination. Working across installation, speculative design, film, social practice, and participatory research, she creates immersive environments and public experiences that translate complex ideas about science, spirituality, and technology into accessible, experiential forms, inviting audiences to imagine and rehearse more equitable futures.

​Through art, research, and storytelling, she builds new architectures of belonging—expanding what counts as knowledge, and who gets to dream the future. Her work has been presented internationally at Akademie Schloss Solitude, KVS, Kunsthalle Gent, PICA, Prater Galerie, Seattle Art Museum, SAVVY Contemporary, and Wa Na Wari.

L. Elizabeth Wangugi

L. Elizabeth Wangugi is the Founder & CEO of Exclusive Excursions and the creator of The Nap Concert™. A live jazz concert experience designed to guide audiences into deep, restorative rest. A certified Power, Yin & Restorative Yoga Specialist and Burnout Restoration Guru, Elizabeth works at the intersection of healing and community, offering events, retreats, and corporate wellness programs that help high-achieving professionals reconnect with their bodies and reclaim their creativity. Her work is rooted in the belief that rest is productive peace.

Stephanie Matthews

Stephanie Matthews is Executive Director of A Tribe for Jazz, bringing more than two decades of experience at the intersection of arts, education, and innovation. She is recognized for advancing equitable access to the arts through bold, cross-sector initiatives that connect creativity to lasting community impact.Under her leadership, A Tribe for Jazz has grown through inclusive programming and strategic partnerships spanning education, STEM, and the corporate sector. She is the creator of Jazz Lab, a pioneering initiative that integrates jazz and STEM to equip young people with critical workforce readiness skills.Beyond her organizational leadership, Stephanie is an award-winning photographer and creative producer whose work spans documentary film, live performance, and national campaigns. She has been named a Columbus Monthly Inspiring Women honoree for 2026, Mahogany Magazine Influential Women 2026, and is the recipient of three distinguished honors: the 2025 Jim Arter Arts Educator Award, the Jazz Hero Award, and the Paul E. Young Outstanding Achievement in Education Award.

Trista Hill

Trista is a professional performing harpist, mentor/teacher, composer, recording artist, and fine artist. She offers coaching, mentoring, and non-traditional music lessons online + in person to all ages, and embraces an unconventional approach to both performance and education, often collaborating with other artists. As an improviser, currently living in Columbus Ohio, Trista plays to the moment. She often performs in settings that support healing and coming home to oneself. Her live improvisations involve deep listening and feeling in rhythm with the environment and those in attendance.

Sharmane Bias

Also know as GoddessinFit facilitates immersive sound bath and meditation experiences that regulate the nervous system while restoring passion and confidence in the body with her company Illuminating Legacies.Blending sacred sensual embodiment with restorative sound, she creates spaces where participants feel calm, centered, and quietly powerful. Clients leave transformed, lit from within, and rooted in their own fire.

Chef Isaiah Screetch

Chef Isaiah Screetch was born in Danville, Kentucky, where his passion for cooking began in his family’s kitchen alongside his aunts and grandmother. After earning his Culinary Arts degree from Sullivan University, Isaiah began his career at Keeneland, one of the nation’s premier horse racing venues, where he worked for 11 years. He later helped open Spark Community Café in Versailles, KY, serving as Executive Chef for nearly five years and developing his signature creative style. Known for his bold use of spices and visually stunning dishes, Chef Isaiah was nominated for the 2023 James Beard Award: Best Chef Southeast. In 2024, he and his partner Antwan Walker launched Soulful Creations, an onsite catering business that continues to redefine Southern cuisine with heart and innovation.
